Odour Profile: Spicy aromatic odour.
Application: The main components are eugenol (which is responsible for the aroma), eugenyl acetate and caryophyllene which give the oil anti-inflamatory and sedative properties. The oil also has antiseptic qualities and is often used to relieve toothache.
Caution: This oil is an irritant, avoid contact with skin and eyes and use in pregnancy and lactation. Keep away from young children. Not for internal use.

Clove Bud is known for its antiviral, anesthetic, anti-fungal, aphrodisiac and antimicrobial properties. This oil is used for treating toothache, headache, asthma, indigestion and all types of blood impurities.
Clove oil has traditionally been used for a variety of purposes, including:
- Antimicrobial, of benefit to acne-prone skin
- Analgesic for conditions such as toothache & muscle pain, digestive upset.
- Helps respiratory conditions like cough & asthma if placed in a room diffuser
- For sagginess of the skin and prevents the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- As anti-aging ingredient used in most cosmetics
- To remove the dead skin cells and stimulate in blood circulation
- For lighter and even skin tone
How to use: For cosmetic purposes, place a few drops in jojoba or almond oil, or in your moisturiser, stir, and apply to your skin. Do not use if skin is sensitive.
Blends well with Clove Bud essential oil goes well with Rosemary, Rose, Peppermint, Orange, Grapefruit, Citronella, Lemon, Nutmeg and Cinnamom Bark.
