Dried Seeds of Fenugreek, Trigonella Faenum-graecum, Organic
Health Benefits of Fenugreek Seeds:
Fenugreek seeds (trigonella foenum graecum) are high in soluble fibre, which helps lower blood sugar by slowing down digestion and absorption of carbohydrates In one study, researchers in India found that adding 100 grams of defatted fenugreek seed powder to the daily diet of patients with insulin-dependent (type 1) diabetes significantly reduced their fasting blood glucose levels, improved glucose tolerance and also lowered total cholesterol.
Clinical research shows that that a simple dietary addition of fenugreek seed leads to the reduction in blood glucose levels (ref: The International quarterly journal of research in Ayurveda, Ayu. 2017 Jan-Jun; 38(1-2): 24–27)
For centuries fenugreek seeds have been (and are still) used by nursing mothers to help stimulate the production of breast milk during pregnancy and following childbirth.
In addition, the seeds freshen bad breath, restore a dulled sense of taste and encourage weight gain, especially in anorexia.
