Calcium Citrate Pure Pharmaceutical Grade

Calcium citrate contains 21% elemental calcium.  It is a naturally occurring substance, used as a natural source of calcium, as flavouring and preservative agent in foods, and as a pH buffer in a wide range of cosmetic and health care products.

It is slightly acidic and may promote better digestion and slow down kidney stone formation. Recommended dose: 1- 2 gram daily.

Calcium Gluconate is an organic calcium supplement, used for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis and calcium deficiency. 

DOSE : Dissolve 1 teaspoon of powder in a glass of water once daily with breakfast.

Vegetable Charcoal is obtained when carbonaceous material, such as cellulose, is partially burned in the absence of air. The resulting product (Charcoal) is comprised of almost 100% carbon. Charcoal is a potent absorbent of detrimental bacteria and noxious gases and may alleviate conditions such as diarrhoea, flatulence (bloating) and bad breath (halitosis) by removing toxins from the system. Charcoal has been found to reduce total cholesterol levels.

Pure Pharmaceutical Grade of D-Ribose Powder

D-ribose is a naturally occurring sugar present in all living cells. It is a key component in many biological pathways, but is most active in glycation (bonding between a sugar and a protein or fat molecule). 

D-ribose, together with adenine, make the adenosine molecule of adenosine triphosphate, the main storage and transportation unit of energy.

Main Uses: Improvement of athletic performance by bringing more energy to the muscles, mucle cramps, chonic fatigue syndrome, fybromyalgia

Clinical studies have used between 500 mg -15 g daily. Doses of 500 mg may lead to 100% improvement of muscle efficacy.

Doses of and above 10 g a day may cause some adverse effects and are not recommended unless prescribed by a medical practitioner. Caution and medical supervision is required when taken by people on medications for diabetes or low blood pressure. When supplementing with 15 g it is advised to separate into three 5 g doses.

Additional Information:

D-ribose is also unique in that it does not raise your blood sugar, unlike glucose and fructose (sugar from fruits).

D-ribose is generally safe as a short-term supplement for those recovering from Adrenal Fatigue. However, D-ribose side-effects include diarrhea, nausea, headache, and stomach discomfort. It also has been shown to cause a drop in blood sugar levels.  

1) D-ribose increases ATP levels in heart cells and improves heart function by improving the efficacy of the heart muscle. Congestive heart failure is a condition in which heart muscles don’t pump blood as well as they should. In a study of 15 congestive heart failure patients, D-ribose improved heart function. (1)

2) D-Ribose Helps with fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

A pilot study of 41 patients with fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue syndrome found that 5 grams of D-ribose daily improved energy, sleep, mental clarity, pain intensity, and well-being. (2)

D-ribose enhances the recovery of energy reserves following inadequate blood supply to organs and tissues after high-intensity exercise.

Pure Dimethyl Sulphoxide (DMSO) 

Dimethyl sulphoxide, or DMSO, is an organosulfur compound and a synthetic solvent with applications in many industries. It is also used for preservation of biological products (stem cells) and as a non-harmful paint stripping agent.

DMSO is commonly used in veterinary medicine as a liniment for horses, alone or in combination with other ingredients. In the latter case, often, the intended function of the DMSO is as a solvent, to carry the other ingredients across the skin. Also in horses, DMSO is used intravenously, again alone or in combination with other drugs. It is used alone for the treatment of increased intracranial pressure and/or cerebral edema in horses.

DMSO was the first nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory discovered since aspirin. DMSO reduces inflammation by several mechanisms. It is an antioxidant, a scavenger of the free radicals that gather at the site of injury. Studies have shown DMSO helps relieve the pain in inflammatory conditions, including rheumatoid arthitis, and that DMSO is of major benefit in scleroderma, as it has softening effect on collagen. DMSO has wide application range in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, as it quickly penetrates the skin, thus facilitating the absorbption of other topical therapeutic agents. 

DMSO has unpleasant garlic-like odor and some have reported garlic taste in the mouth following topical DMSO applications. This led to further processing and purification techniques and the recent emergence of the most pure odor-free grade recommended for therapeutic use.
