Pure, cold-pressed, Psoralea corylifolia (Babchi) seeds carrier oil (15%Bakuchiol)

The seeds of Psoralea corylifolia, also known as Babchi,  have a range of active constituents, including coumarins, most notably psoralen. There are several traditional indications for using psoralea corylifolia seed oil - hair loss, vitiligo, leucoderma and leprosy.

Psoralea is a natural source of psoralens, a group of chemicals that includes the active ingredient of a conventional psoriasis medication called methoxsalen. Psoralens make ultraviolet-light therapy for psoriasis more effective. Psoralea helps fight vitiligo, a disorder in which patches of skin lose their pigmentation. In one study, forty-nine patients underwent six months of psoralea treatment. Of these patients, 14 percent were cured and another 19 percent regained pigmentation on at least two-thirds of the affected skin. Please note that psoralea oil is best used in combination with other therapies under professional supervision.

In Auyerveda, Psoralea oil is also used as a topical hair growth oil.

Directions for use in vitiligo: Apply daily. Massage a few drops into the affected areas until all absorbed, then cover with light clothing to protect from direct sunlight. It is recommended to use with oral doses of Gingko biloba Herbal Extract,  as Gingko biloba has been clinically proven to improve the appearance of leukoderma or vitiligo patches.
