Pine Leaves (Needles), dried, loose, organic, harvested from Pinus sylvestris from the mountains of Eastern Europe and packed in resealable bags for convenience.

Pine Needle tea is one of the most potent anti-oxidants known to man, with multiple health benefits. Traditionally, pine tea has been used for upper and lower respiratory tract swelling (inflammation), stuffy nose, hoarseness, common cold, cough or bronchitis, fevers, tendency towards infection, and blood pressure problems.

• Boil water in a pan (enough to cover the needles) .
• When the water has boiled, take off the heat and add pine needles to the water, approx 1 tablespoon per cup.
• Leave the needles to steep for 10mins with a lid on the pan.
• Strain and serve.
• Add honey if you prefer a little sweetness.
• Drink while warm.

Alternatively,

• Place a tablespoonful of pine needles in a tea strainer and place the tea strainer in a mug. 
• Pour boiled water into the mug, over the pine needles. 
• Cover to inhibit the volatile oil from escaping in the steam. 
• Steep for 10 minutes.
• Remove the strainer from the mug. 
• Add honey to sweeten the pine needle tea.
• Drink while warm.

Dosing:
The appropriate dose of pine depends on several factors such as the user's age, health, and several other conditions. At this time there is not enough scientific information to determine an appropriate range of doses for pine, particularly Pinus sylvestris known to contain strong biologically active compounds. Keep in mind that natural products are not always completely safe in overdose and use the conservative traditional method of preparation described above. Start with one cup a day and increase to two, then three, as needed.
