Herbal Bark Extract: The Condurango bark extract is used by complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) practitioners as a traditional medicine mainly for the treatment of stomach complains and syphilis.
Condurango bark extract is also known to reduce tumor volume, but the underlying molecular mechanisms still remain unclear. Research has demonstrated that Condurango extract contains natural compounds with cytotoxic effect on cancer cells. Condurango is also approved by Commission E for (1) Dyspeptic complaints and (2) Loss of appetite.
