Fluid Extract of the Aerial Parts of Alfalfa (Lucerne), Medicago Sativa in Ethanol and Purified Water.

Traditional Use: Alfalfa has been part of Chinese and Ayurvedic medicine for centuries. Dr. Richard E. Harris II, M.D. Pharm D, describes its historical benefits to treat boils, arthritis [and] asthma” as well as kidney, bladder and prostate issues. Alfalfa sprouts are natural antacid and a mild diuretic, traditionally used as an aid to the treatment of arthritis, to lower cholesterol levels, and in metabolic disorders, including diabetes. Alfalfa is a powerhouse of nutrients, including vitamin A, vitamin K, vitamin C, bioflavonoids, saponins, phytosterols, phytoestrogens, copper, manganese and folate.
