Mucuna pruriens, commonly known as Velvet Bean, has been used in the traditional Ayurvedic system in India as an aphrodisiac and adaptogenic remedy for thousands of years. 

The Mucuna seed is the only natural source of L-Dopa (a dopamine precursor) with a range of benefits in conditions associated with low dopamine levels. Research suggests that, amongst other benefits, it may increase the sperm count and improve male fertility.
