Fluid Extract of Bistort, Polygonium bistorta, in pure ethanol and purified water

Botanical Name: Polygonium bistorta. Common Names: Bistort, Sweet dock

Bistort contains compounds with strong astringent proprties and is therefore used traditionally to stop bleeding and promote healing of wounds, both internally and externally. More research is needed to confirm its safety or efficacy and therefore should not be used for prolonged periods of time or in pregnancy.
