Mercurius Bin Iodide (Syn. Mercurius iodatus ruber, Mercuric iodide HgI2) Trituration in Lactose
Mercurius Bin Iodide is a classic homoeopathic remedy associated with the throat. The powder base is lactose, providing pleasant taste and good coating of the throat. Suitable for kids and adults. The quick effect has made Merc Bin Iod particularly popular amongst those, relying on their voice at work, such as professional performers, singers, TV and radio presenters.
Recommended Dose. Place powder on the tip of a teaspoon and then into your mouth, gently swallow, coating the throat. Repeat three to four times a day, at least 30 minutes away from food, until symptoms resolve.

Merc Bin Iodide Powder is a long term resident our our bathroom cabinet. Great for sore throats (bacterial), brilliant when using your voice a lot (as in a teacher). It works, with no side effects. We use it at the first sign of anything abnormal with throat of voice.
Works very well for me.

I have been using merc bin iodide for some years and have always been happy with the result. I tend to get a slight sore throat at the change in weather and find this product works extremely well for treating it. If I get flu my throat can get very sore and this powder treats my throat, easing the symptoms and stops the infection from reaching my lungs.
