Ingredients:
Each capsule contains 500mg of Hydrangea root powder.
Traditional Medicinal Use:
Hydrangea arborescens, is valued as a traditional kidney antiseptic and often used in the traditional treatment of mild kidney and bladder problems.
In 2009, researchers published in "Science" that the root of Hydrangea contains halofuginone, an active ingredient fighting autoimmune disorders, such as scleroderma, while still allowing the immune system to function normally.
The study was the work of researchers from the Program in Cellular and Molecular Medicine and the Immune Disease Institute at Children’s Hospital Boston (PCMM/IDI), together with the Harvard School of Dental Medicine and was published in the 5 June 2009 issue of the journal Science.
Hydrangea root is used in a variety of forms including powder, liquid extract, syrup, tincture and tea.
Recommended dose: 2g to 4g dried hydrangea root three times per day
Caution: Pregnant or breastfeeding women should not use hydrangea root medicinally. Discuss hydrangea treatment with a qualified health practitioner prior to its use.
