Traditional Fluid Extract of Shepherds Purse, Capsella bursa pastoris, in Ethanol and Purified Water.

In European traditional medicine, Shepherds purse is used for preventing or arresting haemorrhage, more specifically to excessive period bleeding and dysmenorrhoea.

In Tibetan medicine, Capsella is used to stop vomiting, to treat kidneys, lungs and nerve disorders and fluid retention of the body (Wichtl, 1994).

Recent studies indicate low toxicity and multiple benefits of both the extract and the infusion (tea) of the aerial parts of this herb.
