MSM, also known as Organic Sulphur, is a natural compound found in plants, animals, milk. It is a metabolite of DMSO and a source for dietary sulphur. MSM is used for chronic pain, osteoarthritis, joint inflammation, rheumatoid arthritis, muscle cramps, scleroderma, scar tissue, stretch marks, accelerated wound healing. There are reports that MSM reduces the incidence of allergic reactions to a variety of allergens and that it is of benefit in snoring, bladder problems(intestinal cystitis), and divericulitis.
Many studies and research have produced a lot of published material regarding the benefits of MSM, but there are no enough evidence to support it's clinical use in the medical practice yet.
Dosage:MSM commonly is taken as 2 to 6 g/day in 2 to 3 divided doses of 500 mg for arthritis and other joint conditions.
MSM is a safe supplement with no identified contraindications, adverse effects, or drug interactions.
