Description:
A herbal extract blend of Horse chestnut (Aesculus hip.), Witch hazel (Hammamelis), Ruta, Cramp bark (Viburnum opulus.) and Gingko biloba, traditionally used to improve the peripheral circulation and the state and appearance of varicose veins, due to isolated active phytoingredients.
It has been shown that Horse chestnut seed extract may improve venous tone by improving blood flow in the legs. Additionally, it may help decrease leg swelling and pain associated with varicose veins. Horse chestnut seeds have astringent constituents, helping to tone the vein walls which, when slack or distended, may become varicose, hemorrhoidal or otherwise problematic. Horse chestnut seeds reduce fluid retention associated with varicose veins by increasing the permeability of the capillaries and allowing the re-absorption of excess fluid back into the circulatory system. Horse chestnut seeds extract (HCSE) is widely used in Europe and is becoming increasingly popular in North America as well. Witch hazel extract (leaf or bark) is also considered a mild astringent, and has reported topical uses in treatment of haemorrhoids, varicose veins, bruises, minor abrasions and to reduce discomfort of the perineum after childbirth.
For best results, use with topical Vein toner.
