Thuja's immune supporting potential has been evaluated in numerous in vitro and in vivo investigations. It can assist in the support of healthy drainage of the lymphatic system. Commonly used for respiratory tract infections such as bronchitis, bacterial skin infections and cold sores. Also possesses analgesic properties, as well as being an expectorant, immunostimulant and diuretic. Thuja is sometimes applied directly to the skin for joint pain, osteoarthritis and muscle pain.
Thuja is safe and effective to use externally for fungal infections and warts.
